Matthew 5:43-48
Be perfect--- Jesus seems to be asking the impossible. By God's grace, all things are passible. However,the reality is that it is unlikely we will completely  banish sin during our life on earth.

Reflection:
Jesus changes the Old Testament principle of revenge for good. He gives us a new law by which we are to lives --- forgiveness alone breaks the cycle of violence and revenge. Wars in the past could have been avoided if people were willing to forgive and resolve their differences peaceful.
